  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

How to Make This Easy Peanut Butter Fudge for Toddlers

1. Prepare the ingredients:
Peel and then mash the bananas in a medium bowl until very smooth.

2. Melt the peanut butter and coconut oil:
In small microwave-safe bowls, melt both the peanut butter and coconut oil in short 15–20 second bursts, stirring in between, until smooth and pourable.

3. Mix everything together:
Then add the melted peanut butter and coconut oil to the mashed bananas. Stir well until the mixture is fully combined and smooth.

4. Fill the molds:
Spoon the mixture into mini silicone cup molds. I use these molds!

5. Freeze:
Place the molds on a tray and freeze for 1 hour, or until the fudge is firm.

6. Serve or store:
Pop the fudge out of the molds and serve immediately, or store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.

Substitutions

Peanut Butter: You can use almond butter, or sunflower seed butter (for nut-free). Just make sure it’s melted and runny for easy mixing.

Banana: Fresh ripe bananas work best, but if using frozen bananas, thaw and mash them completely before mixing.

Coconut Oil: Swap for unsalted butter or a neutral oil like avocado oil, though the texture may be slightly different.

Storing Extra Frozen Banana Fudge

Store the fudge bites in an airtight container or zip-top freezer bag for up to 1 month in the freezer. Let them sit at room temperature for 1–2 minutes before serving to soften slightly. They’re best eaten straight from the freezer to keep their shape.

Common Questions

Can I make these banana fudge bites nut-free?

  • Yes! Just substitute the peanut butter with a seed butter like sunflower seed butter. The taste will be slightly different but still delicious and toddler-friendly.

Can I use frozen bananas?

  • Yes, but make sure to thaw them completely and drain off any excess liquid before mashing. This helps keep the fudge texture firm and not too icy.

Does this peanut butter fudge melt quickly?

  • They hold their shape for a couple of minutes at room temp, but they do soften fast—perfect for little mouths, but keep them chilled until ready to serve.
