Ingredients
1
can
crescent roll dough
2
cups
shredded mozzarella cheese
1
jar
pizza sauce
toppings
pepperoni, spinach, bell peppers, mushrooms, etc
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
Open the can of crescent roll dough and roll it onto a clean surface. Using your fingers, gently press and seal and perforations in the dough.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the entire surface of the dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Now add whatever toppings you want. I always love to add pepperoni and spinach for my kids!
Starting from one side, tightly roll the whole thing into a log.
Using a sharp knife, cut the rolled up log into 1/2 inch thick slices, creating the individual pinwheels.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange all the pinwheels on the sheet.
Cook the pinwheels in the oven for about 12 minutes or until they are golden brown. Cool and serve with a side of pizza sauce to dip!
Notes
If you want to add a hidden veggie, mix some sweet potato puree into the pizza sauce. You can't even taste it! I just use baby food sweet potato.
