Servings: 4
- 12 ounce bag of steamable peas
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 can crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Steam peas according to bag.
Add the peas and cream cheese to a blender. Blend until smooth.
Spread out crescent roll dough. Ensure that there are no breaks in the dough by pressing with your fingers.
Spread pea mixture onto the dough. You will not need all the mixture. Sprinkle cheese on top.
Starting on one side, roll the dough up forming a log. Cut the dough into 1 inch pieces.
Place the pinwheels on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
Rolling Tip: Make sure the crescent roll dough is unbroken to prevent the filling from leaking out.
Serving Suggestion: Pair with a side of fresh fruit or a light salad for a complete meal.
Leftover pea mixture: Use the leftover pea mixture as a spread on toast, mix into pasta, or serve as a dip with crackers or veggies.
