Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut the rolled dough (or pie crust) into a large rectangle, then cut into 8 equal pieces.
Spoon a small amount of jam into the center of half of the pieces, leaving space around the edges.
Place the remaining dough pieces on top to form the pop tarts.
Use a fork to press down and seal the edges all the way around.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Let cool slightly.
