Ingredients

  • 1 cup carrots finely grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a bowl, combine grated carrot, egg, cheese, breadcrumbs, and garlic powder if using. Stir until everything is well combined.
  • Take about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and form into tot shapes. Squeeze out any excess liquid to help them hold their shape.
  • Arrange the tots on the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Serve with ketchup or ranch for extra flavor!

Notes

Squeeze Out Moisture: After grating the carrots, use a clean kitchen towel to squeeze out excess moisture. This helps the tots hold their shape better.
Uniform Size: Form tots of equal size so they bake evenly.
Serving Suggestions: Serve with a favorite dipping sauce like ketchup, ranch, yogurt-based dip, or hummus to get more flavor.
