Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 pieces bread

Instructions

  • Mix the egg, maple syrup, vanilla, and milk together in a microwavable bowl.
  • Cut bread into 1/2 inch pieces. If you are using sandwich bread, toast it first so it doesn't get soggy.
  • Add bread to the bowl and toss to coat completely. If there is leftover egg mixture, add more bread so that the mixture fully seeps into the bread.
  • Microwave for 90 seconds. Halfway through, give it a little stir to make sure the bread has absorbed the egg mixture.
  • Enjoy with fruit on top!

Notes

Make sure that the bread fully soaks up the egg mixture. If there is leftover egg mixture at the bottom, add more bread to soak it up!
Feel free to sprinkle some cinnamon over the top and serve with any fruit or yogurt, or whatever your toddler prefers!
Store leftovers in the fridge for 3 days or in the freezer for three months. Warm up in the microwave in 15 second increments.
