Blueberry Banana Muffins for Toddlers

These soft, naturally sweet muffins are made with just five ingredients — bananas, blueberries, eggs, vanilla, and self-raising flour. Perfect for toddlers, they’re easy to chew, free of added sugar, and freezer-friendly for quick breakfasts or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas mashed
  • 3/4 cup blueberries
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour or 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour and 2 1/4 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a standard muffin tin or use a silicone muffin pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas, add all the ingredients, and stir together until you have your batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared muffin pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Baking times may vary, so keep an eye on your muffins in the last few minutes.

Notes

Be sure to use very ripe bananas with plenty of brown spots for the best natural sweetness.
Gently fold in the blueberries to avoid breaking them and turning the batter purple.
Muffins will be lightly golden and soft when done — avoid overbaking to keep them moist.
